What if dementia was merely the result of a existing in multiple dimensions at once, therefore seeming mad to single-dimensioners or those without an understanding of the multiverse? It must be an unfathomable challenge being faced with multi-existence. I wouldn't doubt that those with dementia probably know more about reality than any of us: they know multiple realities, they live them, they feel them; they truly hold multiple perspectives, they live them, they feel them; they are multiplicity, they live it, they feel it. Dementia isn't dementia, it's dimensia. Open your own mind, and all of your beings, and you will see: that you are, that we all are.
