The first photograph was taken by Filep Motwary at Histoire idéale de la mode contemporaine vol. I : 70-80, the exhibition take on the publication of the same name. I enjoy this idea of presenting the same thing in different ways. Much like many novels & plays are made into films, but this is almost better because it's turning a book into a historical art exhibition. Besides, film versions of novels often let me down.
The next couple photographs are of Grace Jones in that very same Azzedine Alaïa design which I find so elegantly cool. A silk-laden waterfall that leaks at the heels, in a peachy pearlescent shade. It gathers aggressively at the side & shrouds the face in shadowed mystery.
What a gay description.
